Fictional Character Who Studied Abroad #55: Anna, Like Crazy Anna: Jacob, I made a decision. I’m gonna stay. I’m gonna stay for the summer and then I’ll just go back for the wedding and then I’ll come back after that. Jacob: Anna, listen to me. As much as I’d like that, you can’t do that. Anna: Why? Jacob: Your visa. Anna: I can’t go back. I mean, I have to be sad. We have so much fun and we can stay in bed all summer. Jacob: Okay. Oh, man. Okay. This film was basically a cautionary tale about a young woman who disregarded all of the information she should have received from her college’s international office about keeping in legal status, then complained when there were consequences for her actions. FOR SHAME! ;)
