Many people wear glasses, but it isn’t something which is given a lot of thought or consideration when getting ready to travel. Yet if you should lose or break your glasses, it can ruin your trip. Here are several tips I’ve learned from my five years of traveling around the world with glasses.
When I was an English-language teaching assistant, my students who were training to be opticians were much more interested in learning English than those who were training for hospitality careers, and I thought, How much use are they going to have for this? How often do tourists need to visit an optician?. Well, I guess it’s something that tourists should be prepared for. Hopefully you and your travel-optician will be able to communicate!
