Pavlos was born in Greece and raised in various parts of Europe, primarily the United Kingdom. Marie-Chantal was born in the United Kingdom (to Ecuadorian and American parents) and raised in Hong Kong.
Studied:
Pavlos studied at the Hellenic College of London and Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (United Kingdom). He studied international relations, law and organization at Georgetown University (United States), where he also received a M.S. in Foreign Service specializing in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. At Georgetown, his cousin Felipe, Prince of Asturias, was his roommate.
Marie-Chantal left Hong Kong at age nine to study at Institut Le Rosey (Switzerland). Around age 14, she began studying at the École Active Bilingue in Paris, France then spent her senior year at The Masters School in New York (United States). After graduating from high school, she also studied at the Academy of Art and New York University.
