My top 10 travel essentials:
Converse High Tops: I’ve literally lived in these since I got here. Not only are they comfortable but when all the other girls are stumbling out of the pub in their heels, you can be the smug one leaving with your dignity intact. Also good for when you have to run away from a King Brown snake* but we’ll get to that some other time…..
A Rain Mac: Probably one of my most prized possessions. I mean, what other piece of clothing folds up into it’s own pocket? GENIUS! Oh and it keeps you dry too because yes, it does rain in Australia.
Camera: obviously.
Bug Spray: If there’s one thing there’s a lot of in Oz it’s bugs and, while the locals will think you’re crazy for having a fit when you find a Huntsman spider in your bed…
